Hello, I am have the Windows 7 RC installed on my 2.16 Gz, 2GB ram, 64 mb Intel 945 Express graphics, white macbook and have used it mostly for gaming, although the fact that this is a macbook slightly limits that. I installed all the bootcamp drivers on the OSX install DVD. Recently, however, Windows Update told me there was a updated graphics driver available, and I though "sweet, this will help 3D games actually run on my macbook", so I installed it. Ever since them, Need For Speed: Underground, my current favorite game (yes I know its old, but runs so i'm happy), has run at about 1/2 the frame rate it used to and flickers ever few seconds, making the game unplayable. This update did not appear under the "Installed updates" page, but I need to uninstall it because it is obviously a crappy driver. I tried re-installing the bootcamp drivers, but with no luck. Any help is appreciated.

    • Go to the "Driver" tab and look for the "Roll Back Driver" option. If available, use this to revert to the previous driver version.
      • Note: This option might not always be available depending on the circumstances.
    []Uninstall the Graphics Driver:
    • If rolling back is not an option, you can uninstall the driver.
    • Still in the driver's properties, click on "Uninstall" under the "Driver" tab.
    • Follow the uninstallation wizard to remove the current graphics driver.
    [
    ]Reinstall the Previous Driver:
    • After uninstalling, restart your MacBook.
    • Reinstall the previous bootcamp driver that was working fine for you.
  2. Prevent Automatic Driver Updates:
    • To avoid Windows Update from reinstalling the problematic driver automatically:
      • Open the "System" properties by right-clicking on "Computer" and selecting "Properties."
      • Go to "Advanced system settings," click on the "Hardware" tab, and then choose "Device Installation Settings."
      • Select "No, let me choose what to do," and then "Never install driver software from Windows Update."

        Additional Steps:

        • Ensure that your MacBook meets the system requirements for the games you are running.
        • Check for any updates or patches available for Need for Speed: Underground that could potentially address compatibility issues.
        • Consider running the games in compatibility mode.
        • Keep an eye out for newer driver updates that might resolve the issue.
By following these steps, you should be able to revert to your previous graphics driver and hopefully restore the performance of your games. Let me know if you encounter any difficulties during this process!
