Hi all,

I just installed Windows 7 on my Fujitsu T5010. After a few driver hiccups, I've got everything working great now. However, I just found an odd problem.

My Math Input Panel (MIP) recognizes my handwriting almost without flaws, but it will not actually input an equation when I push "Insert." I am doing this in MS Word 2003.

I've tried inserting in normal word processing mode and in equation editing mode. I read somewhere that it should at least put the equation on the clipboard so I can simply paste it. It's not on the clipboard either.

Anyone know what's up?

Thanks!

It seems like you are encountering an issue with the Math Input Panel (MIP) not properly inserting equations into Microsoft Word 2003 even though it recognizes your handwriting accurately. This could be due to various reasons such as compatibility issues or configurations. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this problem: 1. Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your Fujitsu T5010, especially for the input devices. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with input functionality. 2. Check System Compatibility: Ensure that the Math Input Panel is fully compatible with Windows 7 and Microsoft Word 2003. Sometimes, older software versions may not work seamlessly with...

Check System Compatibility: Ensure that the Math Input Panel is fully compatible with Windows 7 and Microsoft Word 2003. Sometimes, older software versions may not work seamlessly with newer operating systems. 3. Restart the System: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Try restarting your computer to see if this resolves the insertion issue. 4. Check Math Input Panel Settings: Verify the settings in the Math Input Panel to ensure that the correct options are selected for inserting equations into Word. Double-check the settings related to text insertion and clipboard operations. 5. Try a Different Application: Test the Math Input Panel in a different application to see if the insertion issue is specific to Microsoft Word 2003. This can help determine if the problem lies with Word or the Math Input Panel itself. 6. Update Microsoft Office: If possible, consider updating Microsoft Office 2003 to the latest available version or using a newer version of Microsoft Office to see if the insertion functionality works better with a more recent version of the software. 7. Check for Software Updates: Ensure that Windows 7 is fully up to date with the latest updates from Microsoft. Sometimes, critical updates can address compatibility issues with certain features. If none of these steps resolve the problem, it might be beneficial to look for specific forum threads or support resources related to the Math Input Panel and Microsoft Word 2003 to see if others have encountered similar issues and found solutions.
