Windows 7 Microsoft Flight Simulator X - Installation problem

Hello everybody,

I am desperate!!!

Bought my brandnew HP-Notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit to be able to play Flight Simulator X, but installation always fails.

I've tried to:

• install in compatability mode (Vista, XP...)
• as administrator
• all antivirus-applications off
• installation into another folder than the one proposed by the installation program
• ...

The error message I get is, that the system can't find a BMP-File... really strange, because the BMP-File is definitely there... (on my C-drive, as copied from the DVD).

And after cancelling the installation process, I get the error message 1603.

Pleeeeeaaseee help!!!

try making a temp folder, copy everything, then run the installer from there
