Hi all
WEll It's my fault I'm sure

Ihave been trying to make a dedicated media centre on my acer aspire revo and I followed some suggestions to set som services to manual
well I did and now my keyboard works but in a different configuration eg press M get O ! now I tried going to control panel and stting my keyboard back right language (english UK) but that didnt work.
I rebooted that didnt work.

Now it would be easy if i had been clever and taken a note of the actual services i set to manual but :mad:

so I am asking if some one knows what i might have done please !!

thanks

Mike

Hi Mike, It sounds like some changes you made to the services on your Acer Aspire Revo have caused your keyboard to behave strangely. This issue could be related to the changes made to the services, but without knowing exactly which services were modified, it's a bit tricky to pinpoint the exact cause. To troubleshoot and resolve this issue, you can try the following steps: 1. System Restore: - If you recently made these changes, you could try using System Restore to revert your system back to a point before you made these service changes. This can help undo the alterations and restore your keyboard's functionality. 2. Keyboard Language Settings: - Double-check your keyboard language settings in Control Panel. - Make sure...

To troubleshoot and resolve this issue, you can try the following steps: 1. This can help undo the alterations and restore your keyboard's functionality. 2. Keyboard Language Settings: - Double-check your keyboard language settings in Control Panel. - Make sure the correct language (English UK) is selected. You can also try switching between different languages to see if it resolves the issue. 3. Check Regional Settings: - Ensure that your regional settings are correct. Sometimes, incorrect regional settings can affect keyboard behavior. 4. Keyboard Driver Update: - Update or reinstall the keyboard driver. Sometimes, driver issues can cause keyboard problems. 5. Hardware Check: - Test your keyboard on another system to make sure the issue is with the Acer Aspire Revo and not the keyboard itself. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be necessary to perform a more detailed analysis of the services that were changed to understand how they could have affected the keyboard functionality. If you can recall any specific services that you modified, please provide those details, and we can further investigate how they might be related to the keyboard behavior on your system.
