From the beginning, Windows 10 was built for the enterprise. Feedback from millions of IT Pros helped shape our Link Removed. Ready for corporate deployments, Windows 10 was designed to help companies protect against modern cyber-attacks, deliver experiences employees will love and enable continuous innovation with a platform that Link Removed. Only Windows 10 includes built-in Link Removed, so employees can replace passwords with more secure options, help protect corporate data and corporate identities, and only run software they trust. New Link Removed and Link Removed tools simplify device management and help lower costs, and enable businesses with the enterprise strength of the Azure cloud.

With 75 million devices already running Windows 10, it’s a good time for enterprises to consider Windows 10. And today, we’re excited to announce a new initiative that will make it even easier for our enterprise customers to experience the best of Windows 10.

As we get ready to roll out new Windows 10 enterprise capabilities this month, we’re happy to introduce the Surface Enterprise Initiative focused on bringing greater mobility and productivity to organizations with the power of Windows 10. This initiative kicks off with an expanded partnership with Dell to deliver premium Windows 10 devices and world-class services and support to enterprise customers. This is the first in a series of partnerships to deliver even more value to our customers by bringing together amazing Windows 10 devices, industry specific apps and solutions, and unmatched sales, services and support. We also plan to leverage our longstanding relationships with HP, Accenture and Avanade to enable more customers to enjoy the benefits of Windows 10.

Dell First to Offer Surface Pro with Industry-Leading Support

Today’s Link Removed represents a bold step forward as we marry amazing devices, such as Surface Pro, with enterprise-class service and support. Mobile professionals tell us they want a device that’s both portable and powerful — and they love the Surface Pro 3. And with new security features in Windows 10, IT professionals are enthusiastic about how they can deploy Surface more easily and securely throughout their enterprise.

However, our largest global customers have told us they want to buy Surface from one partner, in one transaction and have devices deployed all over the world. To meet that need, Dell will now add Surface Pro to their device lineup and sell it along with their world-class enterprise support and services.

Starting in early October in the United States and Canada, for the first time, Dell will sell Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface accessories through its North America commercial sales organization and later in the year on Link Removed. This offering will be rolled out to the remaining 28 markets of our Surface commercial channel starting in early 2016. And, Surface Pro devices sold through Dell will include the option of Dell Services, including Dell Hardware Warranty, Link Removed with Link Removed, and Configuration and Deployment Services.

New Windows 10 enterprise capabilities coming this month

This month, we will roll out key enterprise features to our Windows Insiders, on track for broader availability later this year. For the first time, enterprises can experience features like Enterprise Data Protection (EDP), which provides personal and corporate data protection wherever data flows; Link Removed for enterprise which helps business workers securely login to applications, websites and networks without the need for a password; and Link Removed, which delivers business customers a unified Windows app store experience including a choice of Windows store apps alongside company-owned apps, and allow IT administers to acquire apps in bulk.

Delivering more value to customers

Windows is central to our commitment to deliver the technology that empowers people and organizations all over the planet to do great things. Windows 10 and the portfolio of Windows 10 devices hitting the market right now are starting to do just that. Together with our partners, we’re excited to deliver the tools enterprises need to transform their business.

A recent Link Removed report stated 60% of IT departments surveyed have tested Windows 10 and 40% plan to start rolling out Windows 10 this year. It also noted, 74% of businesses plan to adopt Windows 10 by 2017, which would make Windows 10 the most quickly deployed version of Windows in history.

We’re excited about our new partnerships and look forward to more enterprise customers trying the new Windows 10 enterprise features which will be rolling out this month.

Thanks,
Yusuf
