Windows 7 No 5.1 after I setup Windows Midea Center

Hi
I just started useing Win 7 and had my nwe PC all set up and working the way I wanted and then a friend asked if Win 7 had the media center and I checked and it did so I started it and messed around for a few min and then quit. Now I don't have 5.1 anymore, just the frount 2 speekers. All of the speaker still work in the Turtle Beach control panel and they are all still set to 5.1

I have a home built PC

Processor AMD Phenom 9650 Quad0-Core 2.30 GHz
System type Windows 7 64-bit
Ram 4gb
Hard Drive WD 300gb
Sound Card - Turtle Beach Riviera Wave
Video Card Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+
