Windows 7 Partition of only one drive in windows vista

Hi,

I have only one drive C:\ in windows vista and i want to do partition of it so i can put my data in different drives. How i can do partition of C:\ into different drives.

Please help...

Hi,

In answer to your question..Yes, you'll be shrinking 'C' which if you follow what I suggested below, will need to shrunk by 150GB
250GB you say... Well you could have a 100GB partition for 'C' with 'D' and 'E' having a size of 75GB each?
You need to use 'Computer management' which can be found via the start menu, under Administrative Tools but follow the excellent guide that Celestra posted and you can't go far wrong..

first of all thanks Celestra and Kemical...Just a last question can i do the shrink process on my system drive C:\ where the windows is installed as well right? because that what i have in my PC

I have 250GB in my C:\ if i want to do two more partition lets say d: and e: what size i should leave for C:\ and which textbox it will i mean in the shrinking window?
