The issue you are experiencing with network visibility between your Windows 7 PC and other PCs, despite Norton Internet Security and ping being able to see all the network devices, could be due to several reasons. Workgroup Settings: - Verify that all PCs are in the same workgroup. - Right-click on Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Computer Name > Change. - Check the workgroup name and ensure it is the same on all PCs. 3. Firewall Settings: - Confirm that Windows Firewall settings are not blocking network discovery. Temporarily disable the firewall to test network visibility. - Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Turn Windows Firewall on or off. 4. Network Location: - Make sure that the network location is set as Home or Work and not as Public. Public network settings can block network discovery. - Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Network Location. 5. Network Sharing Settings: - Check that file and printer sharing is turned on. - Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings. 6. Network Adapter Settings: - Ensure that network adapter settings are correct and set to discover other devices on the network. - Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. 7. Restart Network Services: - Restart the Function Discovery Provider Host and Function Discovery Resource Publication services. - Type services.msc in the Start menu, find these services, right-click, and select Restart. 8. Reset TCP/IP: - Open Command Prompt as administrator and run the following commands: - netsh int ip reset - netsh winsock reset By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue of network visibility between your Windows 7 PC and other devices on your network. If the issue persists, further diagnosis may be necessary to identify any specific network configuration problems.
