When I read emails in Windows 8 Internet Explorer, the photos that the senders include in the email never show up. If I read that same email using the Internet Explorer from the desktop, they are all there. Is that supposed to be a good thing in Microsofts' thinking? Not really a good selling point for me anyway. I prefer the Windows 8 layout, but if that's the trade off that I have to make, I'm going to dump using Windows 8 ie , for email anyway.

Different Rendering Engines: The modern Metro version of Internet Explorer might be relying on a different rendering engine compared to the desktop version of Internet Explorer, which could explain the differences in how images are displayed. 3. Settings and Add-ons: Check the settings and add-ons in both versions of Internet Explorer. There could be differences in the way they handle images, which might be affecting their display. 4. Alternative Email Clients: If viewing images in emails is crucial for you, you could consider using alternative email clients that provide better support for displaying images consistently. 5. Update Windows and Internet Explorer: Ensure that both Windows 8 and Internet Explorer are up to date. Sometimes, updates can address compatibility issues and improve overall performance. 6. Consider Using a Different Browser: If the issue persists and viewing images in emails is a priority, you might want to consider using a different browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, which often provide better support for modern web technologies and content display. By exploring these options, you may be able to find a solution that allows you to enjoy the Windows 8 layout while ensuring that you can view images in emails without any issues.
