Everytime I plug it in, it seems to choose a random COM port. Is there any way to make that device always use the same COM port. OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Thanks

Solution Saltgrass Jan 25, 2012 Is the device listed in the Printers and Devices window? If it is you should be able to set a com port as you would with a printer. Was there any software included with the device? Does it show in Device Manager and have an option to select a port?
