hi guys! i have a ram problem. i had windows vista 32bit and 4gb ram. i updated to windows 7 32bit and says that i have 4gb ram but only 3gb are usable... pls help me.... i have a hp pavilion dv6

Hi, happy New Year, and welcome to the forums. :)

x86 (32 bit) architecture is not capable of addressing above 4 Gb, for this reason you need x64 bit operating system to use all the 4 Gb of Ram. If your CPU and motherboard support x64 bit computing, reinstall your system with the 64 bit version of your Windows 7.

Solution
A warning needs to go with the x64 suggestion. 64 bit drivers are a little harder to come by for your devices, so check that first.

Otherwise, the 3.25 GB useable is normal for your system, as was mentioned.
