Hi,
I just downloaded and installed W7 and all is OK in that I can use the start menu and play with some of the apps. Then when the system needs to restart it allways goes to startup repair and cannot fix problem.
Problemm Signature:
Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7100.0
Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7100.0
Problem Signature 03: unknown
Problem Signature 04: 21201230
Problem Signature 05: AutoFailover
Problem Signature 06: 2
Problem Signature 07: CorruptFile
OS Version: 6.1.7100.2.0.0.251.1
Local ID: 1033

I've tried googling about but no similar error report.
Any ideas?
Are these problem signatures described/defined somewhere?

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Try hitting the F8 key on startup until the Repair your computer , Safe Mode, Safe Mode w/ Networking, etc.

When in this screen you can choose repair my PC and you'll get the option to restore your system to an earlier time before the problem, occurred.

Thanks for the feedback reghakr. Please note this is a fresh/new install. No previous install as such. Does your solution still apply? Happy to try anything.

Hello Fred,

So, you really didn't even get to use it that much?

If this is a brand new install, the ISO may have been corrupt.

Maybe you could create a new ISO using the slowest burning speed possible (1x) and use a good quality DVD.

Also, was this a "clean" install or an upgrade?
