Win7 Home Premium, SP1. In spite of specs to use one of my personal folders, it appears to be getting pics from the Windows Photo Gallery. In addition, it is using pics sequentially, instead of shuffling the way it used to (Yes, the shuffling spec is checked). Any help?

Solution
It seems like you are experiencing issues with the desktop wallpaper slideshow settings in Windows 7 Home Premium. Here's how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve these two issues:

Issue 1: Desktop Wallpaper Slideshow Not Using Personal Folder

  1. Check the Wallpaper Settings:
    • Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize."
    • Click on "Desktop Background" at the bottom of the window.
    • Ensure that the "Picture location" is set to "Browse" and select your personal folder with pictures.
    []Select Folder:
    • Make sure that you are choosing the correct folder that contains the images you want.

    ]File Path:

    []Save Changes:
    • Click on "Save Changes" after selecting the folder to ensure the settings are applied.

Issue 2: Sequential Display Instead of Shuffle

    [
    ]Shuffle Option:
    • Check the "Shuffle" option under the desktop wallpaper settings.
  2. Troubleshoot Slide Shuffle:
    • If shuffling still isn't working, try turning off the slideshow, making the changes, and then turning it back on.

      Additional Troubleshooting Steps:

    • Customization: Experiment with tweaking other settings in the slideshow options for any impact.
  • Image Formats: Ensure that the images in your personal folder are compatible formats (e.g., JPEG, PNG). Try these steps to see if they resolve the issues you are facing with the desktop wallpaper slideshow. If the problem persists, you might consider resetting the wallpaper settings or checking for any updates that might help address the issue. Let me know if you need further assistance!
