Windows 7 "setup files are corrupted, please obtain....."

get this message when trying to install an application (CMSF: shock force from battlefront).
downloaded the files several time, trying different compatiblity modes, nothing.
the error appears when installing the app and when installing the app patch.

OS: windows build 7100, 32bit.
Athlon x2 2 250
amd 785g chipset.

any suggestions, ideas?

Is this a downloaded file or from disk? If downloaded try downloading a fresh file and see if it works. If it's a disk double check for dust scratches. If you burned to disk from a download try reburning at the slowest speed available. Sometimes this helps.

it's an internet direct download. i downloaded it 3 time. all with the same error.
