Windows 7 Spybot sbsd security center service

I have windows 7 64 bit with Avast 6 installed. I use Spybot for browser protection (immunisation) and for on demand scanning only. I notice in my services that I have sbsd security center service set to run automatically.

Q) Do I need this security centre integration thing from Spybot auto starting or not?

As Jacee answered you on Sevenforums.com, yes, it is an essential service for Spybot to run in the background. That is, if you want Spybot to always be running.

There need be no desire to enable that function.

& w/ 7 one doesn't need Spybot for anything more than that, if, @ all.

W/ MSE, wouldn't need it, @ all.

Frankly, back in the days of XP I'd go w/ Spubot all the time. Now, pretty content w/ MSE & Malwarebytes occasionally.
