The internet reaches the laptop (through wifi) and the desktop and xbox (ethernet). But it doesn't reach any iPods or my laptop (this is at my friends house). So i really need help on how to get it to work. It connects on my laptop but says limited connectivity. and on any iPods or iPhones it says unable to connect! So im stumped.

Thanks

It sounds like you are having some connectivity issues with your devices at your friend's house. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Steps to Resolve Internet Connectivity Issues:

  1. Restart Devices:
    • Try restarting all devices that are experiencing issues, including the laptop, iPods, iPhones, and the router itself. Sometimes a simple restart can fix connectivity issues.

    ]Network Range:
    • Check if the Wi-Fi signal reaches your devices by moving closer to the router. The distance from the router can affect connectivity.
    []Update Router Firmware:
    • Check if the router firmware is up to date. Sometimes outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues. You can usually update the firmware from the router's settings.
    [
    ]Reset Network Settings on Devices:
    • If your laptop shows "limited connectivity," try resetting the network settings. You can do this by going to Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right-click on Wi-Fi adapter > Disable > Enable.
    []Check IP Configuration:
    • Check the IP configuration on your devices. Ensure that they are set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP).
    [
]Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network:
    • On your laptop, forget the Wi-Fi network and then reconnect. This can sometimes resolve issues related to limited connectivity.
[]Reset Network Settings on iPhones and iPods:
    • On the iPhones and iPods, you can try resetting network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    [
    ]Check Router Settings:
    • Check the router settings to see if there are any restrictions or filters that might be preventing certain devices from connecting.
  2. Contact Internet Service Provider (ISP):
    • If none of the above steps work, it might be worth contacting the ISP to check if there are any known issues in the area or if they can assist with troubleshooting. By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and potentially resolve the connectivity issues you are facing with your devices at your friend's house.
