Windows 7 Support for intel AMT on Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3

I have never used the Intel AMT, but by a coincidence, we have a poster that has been having problems (no gateway address being assigned) with his system and just discovered he did have it.

You might check out the thread, near the end were he posts a PDF about AMT and some photos. Maybe you could clear up each others problems.

He must have the vPro Intel processor and wasn't even aware.

I believe that the BIOS must support AMT, it is enabled in the BIOS and then it is usually a key sequence during boot that needs to be pressed to get to the AMT settings. The sequence for the one my company uses is CTL-P on boot.

Kind of. Actually, it is the CPU that must support Intel AMT and, in turn, the BIOS (chipset really) must support that CPU.

As seen here, Intel AMT is supported on "Intel® Core™ vPro™ processors." Not all Intel processors support this feature.
