Test configuration for testing C lang I18N program for Japanese locale

#1
I have a C program which makes ODBC calls to the installed SQL Server and writes the query results to a text file.

I want to port it to work on the Japanese locale, where the user might have the database names etc. in Japanese fonts.

I want to build a test setup for testing it on a Japanese locale.

Could anyone please list configurations that I need to create to test my program?

What more information I need to provide here for more responses?

thanks,

While I do have some programming experience I don't have any with multi-lingual applications. For the front end you may want to port your program to C++ and use MUI packages Adding Multilingual User Interface Support to an Application (Windows). This way you can separate out the language support. As far as the sql side perhaps this will hep. Schema for a multilanguage database
