Solution
In Thunderbird, you can adjust the duration of how long alerts stay on your screen before disappearing. Here's how you can change this setting: 1. Access Thunderbird Options: - Open Thunderbird and go to the menu located in the top right corner. - Select "Options" or "Preferences" from the menu. 2. Navigate to Thunderbird Options: - In the Options/Preferences window, find and click on the "General" tab on the left side. 3. Adjust Alerts Duration: - Look for the "When new messages arrive" section. - Here, you will find an option labeled as "Show an alert." - Next to this option, there should be a drop-down menu where you can select the duration of how long the alert stays visible on your screen. 4. You may have choices like "5 seconds," "10 seconds," "30 seconds," "1 minute," or "Indefinitely." 5. Save Changes: - After adjusting the duration, make sure to save your changes by clicking the "OK" or "Apply" button in the Thunderbird Options/Preferences window. By setting the alert duration to "Indefinitely" or a longer period, you can ensure that alerts for new messages stay on your screen until you dismiss them, rather than disappearing after a short time.
