Windows 7 trying to get heroes of newerth to work...

it installed fine, but when i try to run it(as admin) i get a D3D_CreateDevice()_failed error..

thats a directx problem right?

anyone get this game to work?

Or a driver error namely graphics.. do you have the latest versions installed? Is the game compatible with 7? You could try running the compatibility tab and seeing if that makes a difference?
What is your system spec timf808?

Also that game looks like it's still in beta? Have you tried applying the updates found on the website?

yes i have all the updated drivers off the toshiba site anyways

im using a toshiba laptop 2ghz dual core 3gb ram, but no video card.. just onboard. but the game ran fine when i was on vista

yes the game is in beta.. i asked on their forum too if anyone has played on win7

Hmm...Have you tried running it in compatibility mode as if it was running under vista?

Heroes of Newerth runs great on my pc.. I have no issue and am running ultimate win7 x64.

When you download hon from the beta site check the folder and locate a folder name directxredist.

That's the only directx driver that hon requires.
