I am trying to get to like IE9, but am aggravated by the over-enthusiastic tooltips popping up all the time. The favorites menu (under the star icon) is practically unusable. Does anyone know how to turn off the tips popping off all over the place? It may sound like a minor annoyance, but unless I can get rid of them IE9 is a no-go.

TIA...

To disable the tooltips in Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and make the favorites menu more usable, you can adjust the settings in the browser. Here's how you can turn off these tips popping up all over the place: 1. Disable Tooltips in Internet Explorer 9: - Open Internet Explorer 9. - Click on the Tools icon in the top-right corner (shaped like a gear) or press Alt + X on your keyboard. - Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu. - In the Internet Options window, go to the Advanced tab. - Scroll down to the Browsing section. - Uncheck the box next to Enable third-party browser extensions. - Click on Apply and then OK to save the changes. 2. Turn Off Tips in Favorites Menu: - After disabling the tooltips, you should experience fewer pop-ups across the browser, including in the Favorites menu under the star icon. - Restart Internet Explorer 9 after making these changes to ensure they take effect. By following these steps, you should be able to reduce the number of tooltips popping up in IE9 and make the favorites menu more usable.
