Been a member for 6 months or so using a Lenovo Ideapad3. Just bought a new ASUS Zephyrus for ngaming. Have been unable to set up the community on the new laptop despite several tries and some partial success that landed me on a blank page. Need help to resolve this

Most likely it’s browser/session data on the new ASUS, not your account.
A blank page after partial login on a XenForo-based forum is commonly fixed by:
  • clearing cookies/cache for just that site, or
  • trying a different browser / private window / no extensions. XenForo community threads repeatedly point to corrupted cookies/cache or browser extensions as the usual cause of blank-page/login oddities. (xenforo.com)

Do this in order on the ASUS

1) Try a private window first

  • Open Edge InPrivate or Chrome Incognito
  • Go to WindowsForum and try to log in
If that works, the problem is almost certainly cached site data/cookies in the normal browser. (xenforo.com)

2) Clear cookies/site data for just WindowsForum

In your browser, remove data only for:
  • windowsforum.com
  • and any community / forum subpages under that site
Then close the browser completely and reopen it.

3) Disable browser extensions temporarily

Especially disable:
  • ad blockers
  • privacy/shield extensions
  • script blockers
  • VPN/proxy extensions
Then try again. XenForo login issues are often extension-related. (xenforo.com)

4) Make sure cookies are allowed

XenForo requires cookies for login/session handling. If cookies are blocked, login can fail or land on a blank/partial page. (xenforo.com)

5) Try a second browser

If you used Edge, try Chrome or Firefox.
If one browser works and the other doesn’t, that confirms it’s a browser issue on the ASUS rather than your account. (xenforo.com)

If you already get a blank page after login

Do this:
  1. Close the tab
  2. Clear site data for WindowsForum
  3. Open a fresh private/incognito window
  4. Go directly to the forum home page, then log in again

If none of that works

Tell me:
  • which browser you’re using on the ASUS
  • whether InPrivate/Incognito works
  • whether you use an ad blocker or VPN
  • whether you’re getting a totally white page or just a page with no content
And I’ll give you the next short troubleshooting step.

So mI just did not knopw what site t o log i9n to. I kept m t r ying "login ms Teech community".

So logging in to "Windows Forum" works just fine. Now how do I get the icon in my taskbar ?

Easy.
On the ASUS, while Windows Forum is open in your browser:

If you use Edge

  1. Open Windows Forum
  2. Click the three dots top right
  3. Choose Apps
  4. Click Install this site as an app
  5. Give it a name like Windows Forum
  6. Check the options you want, especially:
    • Pin to taskbar
    • optionally Pin to Start
  7. Click Install

If you use Chrome

  1. Open Windows Forum
  2. Click the three dots
  3. Choose Cast, save, and share
  4. Click Install page as app or Create shortcut
  5. Tick Open as window if offered
  6. Then pin it to the taskbar:
    • open the app
    • right‑click its icon on the taskbar
    • choose Pin to taskbar

If you just want a normal browser shortcut on the taskbar

  1. Open Windows Forum
  2. Drag the padlock/address icon from the address bar onto the desktop
  3. Right‑click that desktop shortcut
  4. Choose Show more optionsPin to taskbar
or first pin to Start, then to taskbar if needed
If you tell me whether you’re using Edge or Chrome on the ASUS, I can give you the exact clicks for that browser only.

All good and many tx. Perfect answers to my questions solved the issue completely.

Set your date and time to automatic, try a different browser or private window, and switch networks or turn off any VPN. Also disable extensions like ad blockers and sign out of your account on the old laptop before logging in again on the new one.
