    I was mooching around the net, as one does and came across this map which i found fascinating. It shows all the undersea communication cables. I didn't realise there are so many!

    Indeed! I also couldn't believe the diameter they use. The size of a marker pen? Ok I know that's in certain areas but still... That seems thin.. ;)

    Yeah how can something that small, size wise, do such a great thing. Sure, we're all computer geeks here. But stuff like that still amazes me. That's some Globally changing technology work.

    I wonder if a enterprising group of geeks could tap into one of the cables and get a free, incredibly fast, connection.. Muhuhahahahaa !
