Windows 7 USB port provide power but not detecting any device

Hello everyone,

i am using hp laptop. One of my usb port provides power but it never detects any devices.
I have updated the driver and disabled and re enable the usb port in device manager with no luck.

Please Help me......

have you tried checking your motherboard/chipset drivers too?

to give us as much detail as possible.

For BIOS settings, USB related:
it should be in either Advanced Settings, Peripherals, Communication or Input/Output tabs. See if you can look around some more for those settings.

Hi Maslam,

have you tried entering the bios and seeing if any settings relate to the port in question?

Also if you post the actual model it would help us to help you further.

i have tried entering the bios and i couldnt see any settings relate to the usb port.
I am using HP Folio 13-1000ex.
O.S-Windows 7 professional

I swear there is no Advanced Settings, Peripherals, Communication or Input/Output tabs.I couldnt find any word regarding the USB.
