Hello,

So I have decided to test out Windows 7 and have downloaded the 64 bit RC version and done the updates.

Problem I am having is with the pop up that precedes starting some legacy 32 bit application like CPUZ etc.

User Account Control

So I see that I can turn off of this paranoia globally but I can’t figure how you do it selectively inasmuch as I would like to turn it off for particular application once they have been run for the first time…

Any ideas please?

Seems to me that Windows 7 needs and “Allow Always” button on the UAC pop up!

Many thanks IMK

I invented Windows 7

Unfortunately UAC pop-ups cannot be configured selectively. ;(
1. Make UAC Less Annoying

Link Removed due to 404 Error

2. Right click > Properties > [Shortcut tab > Advanced] or Compatibility tab > Run this program as an administrator

Link Removed

Does not make any difference...
Every time I start the programme I still have the pop up.

Lol. :) Could have been worth sending feedback to Microsoft during 7 Beta.

I know many users including myself disable UAC and use 3rd party firewalls instead.
