Hi guys
Just in case you have problems with any version of Windows 7 and running the Windows Experience index (WEI) from the control panel it will sometimes work in Command Level mode (and then you can see the results as per normal in the control panel).
Run a command prompt (in elevated mode) -- i.e select command prtompt from accessories, right mouse click and select run as administrator.
Then run the following command winsat formal
This often works where the "standard method" from the control panel fails.
Cheers

Solution
Hello Jimbo,
Thank you for sharing this helpful tip regarding running the Windows Experience Index (WEI) on Windows 7. It's good to know that running the command "winsat formal" in an elevated Command Prompt can sometimes resolve issues when the standard method from the control panel fails.
By executing this command in elevated mode, users can potentially view the WEI results as usual in the control panel. This can be a useful workaround for users encountering problems with the WEI assessment in Windows 7.
If you or anyone else encounters issues with the WEI through the control panel on Windows 7, trying the command line approach using "winsat formal" in an elevated Command Prompt could provide a solution.
