Just curious to what everyone's "Windows experience index base score"s are and what kind of hardware scores what.
Post your hardware details along with your scores.

Mine scores a 5.0
AMD Athlon X2 4400 2.3 - 5.0

ASUS GeForce 8600GT 512mb - 6.7 Gaming - 5.5

Hey Yamaha, here is a better resource gadget that works with Windows7, you can configure multiple cores for the CPU.

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I get home.

Really, -8 in NE? I thought Denver was cold. Good overclocking weather though.

I miss Denver! I just moved to NE from Denver about 6 months ago. I lived in Denver since 2001. Denver is nice because it will get cold for a bit, but warm up enough for snow to melt in a day or two (except for the blizzard two years ago). It's cold and windy here . I was in Denver last week, heading to Keystone all next week, and pretty much there 5 days a month.

I'm shocked at the moment

Asus F3Sa

Intel C2D T7700 2.4
2x2048 800mHz Kingston RAM
Ati HD2600 (512MB) Video Card
250GB 5400Rpm HDD

and so on

Havent been able to install graphics drivers yet so no SLI/CF to get that gaming graphics score a little higher.
Core i7 965 @ stock clock in this pic. I maxed out 7.9 @ 4.2Ghz. Maxed memory 7.9 @ 1750mhz too. 6.8 on HDD is two cheap 32GB SSD's in RAID0 u can see in the HDTune's that the 3x Velociraptors are considerably faster.

hmmm. After I did a fresh install, I double checked my rating and found my hard disk transfer rate dropped from 5.9 to 3.

I don't get it, it's the same drive but a lower rating.......the computer is running much better now, so I'm not so sure about these ratings.
