Windows 7 Which Combo Anti-virus and Firewall don't make Win7 64bit BSOD?

Hi Everyone...

I've just been advised to remove Avira and ZoneAlarm off of my PC because of regular BSOD problems. See link

As an alternative was advised to Install MS Security Essentials..

Since these actions, the PC has been running great

I am however feeling a bit open to attacks,especially on the Firewall side of things.

Does anyone know a Firewall and AV software that actually work together on Win7?

I use Avast free and Comodo free. I gave up on ZA years ago it turned into bloated up crapware thatneded constant tinkering.
