Windows 7 window 7 cant find installation to repair

Hi
Windows 7 Ult. HPO Envy DV6 7331-SA (2 graphics cards)
Replaced Fan
Booted OK but screen display fuzzy (OK on external monitor)
Tried system restore (in case Id screwed anything up while repairing the fan)
Then rebooted and get request to repair installation
Insert Windows 7 installation media (USB) but it wont find the Win7 installation to repair
The Boot HDD is Samsung 850 EVo but tis does not need any special drivers (and I could not find any on Samsung site)
So ow do I repair this installation?

Well if the system boots fine, there's no reason to try and repair it offline. My guess is it's a problem with the screen itself or there may be a calibration tool to adjust the display settings.

Does not boot. Instead generates request to repair
Attempt to repair does not find a windows installation
So how do I repair the installation?
