I just performed this update on my HP notebook and now I cannot connect my Samsung Galaxy J5 phone to the notebook. The notebook always recognized the device before, not now.

Have you tried reinstalling the samsung software for the phone.

Probably caused by a driver update. Have you restarted your computer after update?

Check in Device Manager for yellow triangles with exclamation mark on them at Universal Serial Bus controllers and Other devices. See the image below:
