Security Fixes and Improvements
As with every Patch Tuesday, security fixes are a primary focus. This update includes security improvements that were also present in the January 26th update, KB5022360. There are also additional fixes for the internal OS functionality with miscellaneous security improvements.
Windows 11 Servicing Stack Update
The servicing stack, which installs Windows updates, is essential to maintaining the reliability and functionality of your device. This update includes several quality improvements, such as resolving an issue that might occur when the Input Method Editor (IME) is active, causing applications to stop responding when you use the mouse and keyboard simultaneously. It also fixes a bug where the cursor would move to the wrong location when converting or re-converting Japanese Kanji with a multibyte character set (MBCS) app.
Other improvements include fixes to an issue that prevented picture files from opening in your chosen photo application, and another issue that stopped you from searching for a file based on its contents. Additionally, this update addresses an issue with some game controllers where the computer would not enter Sleep mode when the game controller was connected.
Windows Diagnostic Data Processor Configuration Changes
This update includes changes to how you enable the Windows diagnostic data processor configuration in preparation for EU Data Boundary support.
Known Issues
The patch includes a few known issues, including challenges with provisioning packages for IT admins on Windows 11, version 22H2, and copying large multiple gigabyte (GB) files taking longer than expected to finish.
