  • Thread Author

Hello WindowsForum community! Exciting news for Windows 11 users—Microsoft has started rolling out an updated version of the Photos app, now featuring iCloud Photos integration. This update initially kicked off a few weeks ago and is now being made available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

What’s New?

In this latest update (version 2022.31100.9001.0), the Microsoft Photos app will allow users to seamlessly view, organize, and share their iCloud Photos directly from within the app. Here are the key highlights:
  • iCloud Integration: Users can now add and access iCloud Photos, which will appear alongside photos from other
sources in the redesigned "All Photos" gallery view.
  • Dedicated iCloud Page: Access all your iCloud Photos from a dedicated page that's accessible from the side navigation pane.
  • Ease of Setup: Simply sign into the iCloud for Windows app on your PC and ensure "Photos" is selected to start viewing your iCloud library in the Photos app.

    Getting Started

    To set up the integration:
    1. Update to the latest version of the Photos app.
    2. Sign into the iCloud for Windows app on your PC.
    3. Ensure that "Photos" is selected in the iCloud settings.
    4. Your iCloud Photos will now automatically appear in
      the Photos app.

      Feedback

As always, Microsoft encourages users to provide feedback. You can file any issues or suggestions using the Feedback Hub by pressing WIN + F, then navigating to Apps > Photos. This integration promises to make managing and accessing your photo collections across platforms smoother and more convenient. We look forward to hearing your experiences and feedback!
