Hello,
I am near my wits end with Windows 7 networking!
I am running Windows 7 home premium on my desktop which I am now using for my business. I have a folder containing my files that I share over my network to 4 other computers, also running windows 7.
If a network user creates a file it appears with a padlock on the 'server' and is not visible to others on the network. This is causing grief as if user A creates a file on the network this may not be visible to them or anyone else on the network later.
I can change the owner to the user account on the server but this has to be done constantly to allow network users to see all files.
Has anyone got any suggestions for the best way to resolve this? Ideally I would like to share the two folders, one requiring a password to access and the other freely available and editable by the users on the network.
Thank you in advance,
Mike
