Hi

Windows 7 RC1
Outlook 2007 SP1 using Exchange 2007
Windows Search
Fully Patched System

In Outlook using cached mode I'm having issues searching my e-mail. It seems to have issues indexing my latest emails. When I go to Tools | Instant Search | Indexing Status, it says I still have 2888 emails to index.

I've tried rebuilding the index but still have this issue. I actually have this on two machines running the same software.

If I take off cache mode everything indexes properly. I did a Google search and saw a thread mention encrypted messages in OST files but no messages are encrypted so that shouldn't be an issue.

Has anyone noticed this?

Thanks

Michael

Check Windows Search Service: - Ensure that the Windows Search service is running: - Press Windows Key + R, type "services.msc", and press Enter. - Locate "Windows Search" in the list of services and ensure it is running. If not, start the service. 4. Repair Office Installation: - If the issue persists, you can try repairing the Office installation: - Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. - Find Microsoft Office in the list, right-click, and select "Change". - Choose the repair option and follow the on-screen instructions. 5. Clear and Re-Download Offline Address Book: - Sometimes, issues with the Offline Address Book can affect search functionality. You can try the following: - Close Outlook. - Delete the Offline Address Book files from the %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook folder. - Open Outlook and force a download of the Offline Address Book. By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the search indexing issue in Outlook when using cached mode. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you encounter any specific error messages during these steps.
