Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum, but was wondering if someone would be able to assist me.

I bought a hp dv6 laptop a couple of days ago running windows7 home premium. Unfortunately i am unable to instal reporting services 2005 on anything below the proffessional edition.

My question is, if i upgrade and install the professional edition, will i loose all the extras that came with the laptop like HP media centre for example, or will that remain on the laptop ?

As I understand it, as long as you are upgrading same to same 32bit to 32bit or 64bit to 64bit then the process works as you would expect. It just upgrades the version from Home Premium to Pro. Refer to this article, there is even a phone number to call where you may want to ask more specific questions. Link Removed
