Windows 7 Windows 7 RC: I like it!

So far I like the RC. It doesn't crash or lock-up (IE8) like the Beta frequently did while browsing, and the "Delete Browsing History" function actually does the job now; when I do a disk cleanup, the temp files are already empty, whereas they were still there with the Beta.

Shutdown takes quite a bit longer than with the Beta: It must be doing more work?

I tried Virtual Machine/XP Mode - although I have no use for it - and it seemed to work well enough. Installation was not a problem.

Overall, I am happy with this release. It has been very stable for me as aposed to the Beta, which was constantly generating error reports. And IE8 is now working smoothly for me.

Now, I'll try it out on my Notebook.

There had to be a reason for all the errors you said you were getting with the Beta.. Though I agree the RC is a very stable and solid release.. I also found the Beta was just as good.. But it's good to see Microsoft going forward instead of backwards with this release..
