Windows 8 Windows 8.1 BSOD driver IRQL while playing games

Hello,

I have been getting the BSOD as I play dota 2, gta 5, and sometimes witcher 3.

The strange thing is my computer dies with Driver IRQL the first game of DOTA 2 and it's fine for the next few games.

I tried updating all the drivers and looked for solutions but I am just not that great at reading computer language.

Please help!

Hi,
all your dump files were of the same Bugcheck D1 which is usually a driver related issue.
The dump files basically fall into two groups, two thirds were like the above and blamed the GPU driver whilst the remaining third blamed an Anti Virus application amoncdw8.sys which is made by a company called AhnLab Network Products. It's possibly called V3 or Secureguard? In any case please remove and use the onboard Windows Defender as this is extremely stable. Many of us here also use Malwarebytes alongside as they both work very well together:

nvlddmkm.sys Wed Jun 17 06:36:26 2015: Nvidia gpu driver. Although this is the latest driver it can depend at times where you got it from. If you installed this driver straight from Nvidia then please uninstall and try the download from the machines support page.

To uninstall the gpu driver please use this application as it will ensure no loose bits are left:
Display driver uninstaller

Similarly if you originally got the gpu driver from the support site then again uninstall it and then try the driver straight from Nvidia:

Please post any new dump files.

Excellent news thank you. We never close threads so if an issue should pop up again simply post back.. Good luck! :)
