Windows 8 windows 8.1 snap

Hi I used to be able to snap to full screen with windows 7, I can't do it with windows 8.1, why? Thanks

If you are working on the desktop, Snap works just like it did in Windows 7.
Actually this was my favorite feature added in Windows 7, I use it all the time.

I'm using Classic Shell with Windows 8.

But I have to admit that I didn't know that you could do it in the Metro screen.
