I have been secretary of a club and have created a WAB for the incoming secretary. Can she import the adresses into her address book as a group without them just going in amongst her own addresses?
Thanks, Unibeck

Solution
To import the WAB (Windows Address Book) file as a separate group into the new secretary's existing address book, you can follow these general steps. Unfortunately, the features to import specific groups from WAB files might be limited, but you can try the following workaround: 1. Export the WAB File: - The old secretary needs to export the specific group or all contacts as a separate WAB file from their address book. 2. Import the WAB File: - The new secretary will need to import this WAB file separately into their Windows Contacts using the following steps: - Open Windows Contacts (can be found in the Start menu or in the Control Panel). - Go to "Import" and choose the option to import contacts from a Windows Address Book...

Organize the Imported Contacts: - After importing, the new secretary can organize the imported contacts into a separate group or category within their address book. This can typically be done by creating a new contacts folder or group and moving the imported contacts into that group. 4. Custom group setup: - Some email clients allow users to create custom groups and categories. If the new secretary's email client offers this feature, they can further group the imported contacts into a custom address book group for easier management. 5. Third-Party Tools: - If the built-in address book tools do not allow for easy group import, you might consider using third-party contact management software that offers more advanced features for managing and importing contacts in bulk. By following these steps, the new secretary should be able to import and organize the contacts from the WAB file in a separate group within their address book for better organization and management.
