Introduction​

In the latest Windows Insider Preview Build 22635.3495 (KB5037000) for the Beta Channel, significant enhancements and adjustments have been introduced to enhance the user experience and functionality of Windows 11. Here are the key highlights of this release:

Enhancements and Improvements​

  • Start Menu Recommendations: Recommendations have been introduced in the Start menu to assist users in discovering exciting new apps from the Microsoft Store. This feature, currently limited to Windows Insiders in the U.S. Beta Channel, aims to enhance the app discovery experience for users.
  • Desktop Spotlight Adjustments: Windows Spotlight experience on the desktop has been refined to facilitate easier user engagement and interaction with Spotlight features, including image selection, liking or disliking images, among other improvements.
  • Linked Devices Page: A new Linked devices page under Settings > Accounts allows users to manage PCs and Xbox consoles associated with their Microsoft account on Windows 11's Home and Pro editions when signed in with their Microsoft account.

Copilot in Windows Enhancements​

A new and updated Copilot in Windows experience has been released, offering users the option to switch between the existing "docked" behavior and a new mode where Copilot behaves as a normal application window. This update includes under-the-hood enhancements and is rolling out to users in both the Dev and Beta Channels.

Known Issues​

  • Investigations continue on issues related to Internet Information Services (IIS) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) post-update.
  • Users may encounter new issues with Copilot in Windows, including voice access and Windows Ink functionality, under the updated experience.
