Hi.

I'm an amateur photographer and all my pictures are taken in RAW so they're quite large. I often have hundreds of pictures to browse through but it's a painfully slow process with Windows Photos.

This is due to the fact that it changes them; It only seems to do it when I load RAW images into it, it's quite fast at loading them but flicking through to the next or previous is hampered by the fact that it's further processing them for some reason, then after 5~12 seconds (and a maximum CPU blast) the contrast and colours in the image change - it doesn't save the changes but I don't want it doing this! I want to see them how I took them and it's just slowing it down.

I installed a third party open source (and free) app to replace Photos but it just takes far too long loading my images. Photos is so much faster at loading them. I read about how Photos has an option to automatically enhance images (or used to) but the option simply is no longer there, but it's almost like it's enabled.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks.
