Hello all, first time I have posted, but I am stuck. I am attempting to install Windows 7 Professional on my machine but am experiencing extremely slow (2 hrs) install. Then when it did install it took 20 minutes plus to boot up. I have tried removing all the RAM but one stick, using just a ps/2 keyboard and am still having slows install. This is a fresh install, not an upgrade. Here are my specs:
2.40 GHZ Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Nvidia 680iLT motherboard
500 GB WD HD
4GB (2-2GB strips) Corsair 6400 RAM
also had but took out 4GB (2-2GB strips) Kingston 6400 RAM
Lite-on DVDRW LH-20A 1 L
NVidia GeForce 8500 GT video card
Bios Phoenix Technologies, LTS 6.00 PG 1/22/08
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Was previously running Vista Ultimate 64-bit
