Hi,

Can anyone help me to find the option in Windows8 to share the Internet/Allow Users to share Internet with others.

I have enabled the Hyper-V in Windows8RTM and I have created a VM. But Internet is not working in that seems the current system is not sharing internet. So I would like to share Internet to VM's from Windows8. In WIndows7 we have option in Network sharing and Connections to Allow the other users to access the Internet. But the same option I am not finding in Win8 RTM.

Any Help on this would be much appreciated

Thanks,
Madhu M.

Solution
To enable Internet sharing in Windows 8 RTM for VMs created with Hyper-V, you can follow these steps: 1. Set Up a Virtual Switch: First, ensure that you have set up a virtual switch in Hyper-V Manager. This switch will allow communication between your host system and the virtual machines. 2. Enable Internet Connection Sharing: - Press Win + X on your keyboard to open the Power User Menu. - Select "Network Connections." - Locate your active network connection (usually labeled as Ethernet or Wi-Fi). - Right-click on the active network connection and select "Properties." - In the Properties window, go to the "Sharing" tab. - Check the box that says "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's...

By following these steps, you should be able to share your host system's Internet connection with the VMs running in Hyper-V on Windows 8 RTM. This will allow your virtual machines to access the Internet through your host system's connection. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
