Hello.

I have a small problem whit yahoo messenger since i upgraded to win 7 sp1. It seems every time i close yahoo, the icon in the right corner bar doesn't dissapear. It also doesn't work, i click on it right click, left click, nothing. I can open a new yahoo messenger from the desktop icon but then i have 2 icons in the buttom right corner:(
I tryed unistalling, cleaning whit ccleaner after that, nothing:(
It happened when i upgraded from the old win 7 to sp1 and the same after a fresh install of win 7 sp1.
The only way to close that messenger icon is from the task manager.

Anyone has any ideas?

Thx.:*

If it's still running in the background, it might be causing the icon to remain in the system tray. 3. Check for Updates: - Make sure that you are using the latest version of Yahoo Messenger. Check for any available updates and install them if needed. 4. Reinstall Yahoo Messenger: - Completely uninstall Yahoo Messenger, restart your computer, and then reinstall the latest version from the official Yahoo website. 5. Restart Windows Explorer: - Sometimes, restarting the Windows Explorer process can help refresh the system tray icons. You can do this by following these steps: - Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. - In the Processes tab, find Windows Explorer. - Right-click on it and select Restart. 6. Registry Cleanup: - Caution: Editing the registry can be risky if not done correctly. You can try cleaning up any remnants of Yahoo Messenger in the registry using a registry cleaner tool. 7. Check for Third-Party Software Interference: - Certain third-party software or conflicting applications might be causing the issue. Try disabling non-essential startup programs or perform a clean boot to see if the issue persists. 8. Compatibility Mode: - You could try running Yahoo Messenger in compatibility mode. Right-click on the Yahoo Messenger shortcut, go to Properties, and then open the Compatibility tab. Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select an earlier version of Windows. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be a compatibility problem with Yahoo Messenger and Windows 7 SP1. Unfortunately, Yahoo Messenger is no longer actively supported, so finding a permanent solution might be challenging. Feel free to try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance or if you manage to resolve the issue.
