I am trying to burn some photos from Windows Photo Gallery to CD but after I have chosen the photos and click burn I get the following message :-You don't have a disc drive capable of burning files to CD or DVD.

I am running Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron 530

I have two drives an Optiarc DVD+ RW AD-51706 ATA device

and a PBDS CDRWDVD DH-48C2S ATA drive

The device manager shows that both devices are working properly. I have tried rebooting but get the same results. My Windows DVD maker is working ok

Can anyone assist please ?

Thanks

Try burning again but with this free software: Link Removed due to 404 Error

A few forum users use this app and it's pretty good at what it does..

You could give this one atry, but it's from My Digital Life, so who knows if it's still good or not.

Link Removed - Not Found

Can you burn from other programs rather than just Photo gallery?

Thanks guys

I have downloaded the Ashampoo burning studio. I will try using that.

Yes I can burn using my Canon and Roxio software , but I was just wanting to find out how to solve the situation with Windows and why it is telling me I don't have a burner , when I do. If i can't sort it out then I will just use the other software.

Thanks again
