My operating system is Windows 7 and I'm not a computer smart as I want to be. I'm preparing a powerpoint presentation for Veteran's Day with Office Pro 2010 and I use youtube videos in them. When I download them I convert them to Windows Media Video (V.7WMV) so I can play my presentation without needing the internet and it prompts me to view the video after it's done and it runs fine. But when I insert it and I play the videos they are stopping/lagging prior to the video finishing. Is it my video or audio card configured wrong? What can I do? Please help me!!!!!!

The issue you're facing with the videos stopping or lagging during playback could be due to various factors including the video file format, the system's hardware, or PowerPoint settings. Ensure Optimal Video Format:

  1. Check Video File Format: Ensure that the video files you are inserting in the presentation are in a compatible format. WMV (Windows Media Video) is typically well-supported in PowerPoint.

    System and PowerPoint Settings:

  2. System Performance: Check for any processes running in the background that may be consuming resources. Close unnecessary applications to free up system resources.
  3. PowerPoint Optimization:
    • Optimize the video playback settings in PowerPoint.
    • Compress the videos to reduce file size and improve playback performance.

      Video Playback Settings:

[]Playback Configuration: Configure the video playback settings in PowerPoint to suit your presentation needs. []Loop Videos: Set the videos to loop seamlessly during the presentation. This can be done in the video playback options.

    Hardware Configuration:

[]Update Drivers: Ensure that your video and audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause playback issues. []Hardware Acceleration: Disable hardware acceleration in PowerPoint or adjust it to see if it improves playback performance.

    Additional Tips:

[]Local Playback: Test the video files separately in a media player to ensure they are playing smoothly. []Trim Videos: If the videos are long, consider trimming them to reduce the file size and improve playback performance.
