I have a x64 bit Acer 5742G i5 running W7 and i was wondering if i can play Team Fortress on my Windows 7 Home Premium?

Absolutely YES, the specs for that model are well above what any Valve game needs to run.

You have
2.3ghz CPU with 4Gig RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470v with 512 MB dedicated video memory, which will play most games, some may require detail setting to be lowered, but should run fine.
