Hi. I just bought a new 8GB Transcend USB Flash drive. After opening the packet I went ahead and formatted it because I was told formatting would erase any spyware on the drive. Why I did that is not the issue. After formatting it, the computer recognised the drive is plugged into the USB port(s) and shows up under 'my computer' but when I try and open it, put files on it or try to un-format it, a message comes up saying please insert a disk into drive D or something along those lines. Also when I opent the properties of the flash drive, the capacity shows 0 used and 0 available. So the computer knows its plugged in to the usb port but doesn't know the disk is in it.
Can anyone help please. Keep answers simple please.

I tried to find a solution to your problem by googling but I'm unsure as to the exact version of drive your using... Anyhow here's a link to the manufacturers website and the FAQ.

Don't forget vista uses NTFS as a file system and drives should be formated the same.. :)
