For many years photo's on my camera (via a cable) have always opened automatically with Photos which I then transfer simply to my own Pictures files. Recently this has changed (perhaps as a result of an update ?) and they now open automatically with Windows Media Player (as 4 second video's) and I cannot work out how to change this.
How do I transfer them (from WMP) to my own Pictures files or better still revert back to Photos ? Many thanks.

I am having difficulty transferring photos to my computer. I often get an error saying that the files on my camera's memory card are corrupt. Try changing the default photo opener. Reset Windows Media Player or reinstall the photo codecs. These methods help me.
