The Windows 8 Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 machine says 'Default Boot Device Missing or boot failed. Insert recovery media and hit any key', when we boot.

I've followed these instructions, with no luck: Link Removed

The machine cannot recognize the hard drive. Can I create a bootable usb drive, boot off that and get my data? How do I create that usb stick? Thanks!

Hi, I am a new member in the group,

I think you can also use DOS to do it
(windows+r/cmd/Diskpart...)
